How To Start Your Concrete Project

1. Choose Your Contractor

The first step in any concrete project is choosing a qualified contractor. Ask around for recommendations from friends or family, or check online reviews. Once you've found a few contractors you're interested in, be sure to get at least three quotes before making your final decision. Prices can vary significantly from one contractor to the next, so it's important to get multiple bids. 

2. Obtain the Necessary Permits

Depending on the scope of your project, you may need to obtain one or more permits from your city or county. 4. Pour the Concrete

After the site has been prepared, it's finally time to pour the concrete! Depending on the size of your project, this could take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Once the concrete has been poured and smoothed out, it will need to cure for 28 days before it can be used. Be sure to keep vehicles and pedestrians off of the new concrete during this time so that it can cure properly.
